These reindeer chocolate pretzels couldn’t be any easier to make. To begin, prepare your workstation by covering it with wax paper. Arrange your supplies within reach.

Find pretzels that are whole and have not been broken in your pretzel bag. Place the pretzel thins about an inch apart on your wax paper.

Heat 3-4 blocks of chocolate almond bark at a time in the microwave. We usually do this step in 30 second intervals, so we don’t overcook and burn the chocolate.

Use a spoon to scoop small amounts of chocolate in the holes of the pretzel thins. Fill 2-3 pretzels at a time to prevent your chocolate from hardening.

Add an M&M to each of the holes that are filled with chocolate before the chocolate dries.

We always try to match the two eyes and give the reindeer a red nose when we can for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!

Watch out for any candy thieves! My littlest loves to sneak M&Ms!

To make antlers, use on pretzel stick for each reindeer. Break the pretzel stick into equal halves and stick the rough end into the chocolate at the top of the pretzel to make antlers.

Let your chocolate reindeer pretzel sit until it has dried or about 30 minutes for complete hardening. Then, lift the pretzel off of the wax paper.

The pretzel and chocolate should come off very easily. If the chocolate is sticky, let the pretzel rest for another 5 to 10 minutes until the chocolate is completely hardened on the back.

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workstation by covering your workspace with wax paper. Arrange your supplies within reach.
  2. Find pretzel thins that are complete and have not been broken. Place the pretzel thins about an inch apart on your wax paper.
  3. Heat 3-4 blocks of chocolate almond bark at a time in the microwave. Be careful not to overcook chocolate.
  4. Use a spoon to scoop small amounts of chocolate in the holes of the pretzel thins. Fill 2-3 pretzels at a time to prevent your chocolate from hardening.
  5. Add an M&M to each of the holes and try to match the top two M&Ms, so that they appear like eyes. You can even add a red nose for Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!
  6. Use 1 pretzel stick per reindeer. Break the pretzel stick into equal halves and stick the rough end into the chocolate at the top of your pretzel to make antlers.
  7. Let your chocolate reindeer pretzel sit until it is completely dry and can be easily lifted from the wax paper.

Notes

We prefer to cover our wax paper with pretzels and make as many as we possibly can, but we do not recommend heating up all of the chocolate at one time. Follow the recipe and heat 3-4 squares of almond bark at a time to avoid having your chocolate cool in the bowl.
